Jeff has built his reputation through holistic financial planning and investment management. Jeff started his career in 1987 after receiving his B.S. in Business, Economics and Sociology from the University of Richmond. Since joining, he has received his Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations.
Jeff and his wife Mel enjoy traveling, learning about wine and being active with their 2 dogs. They have two grown daughters, Taylor who is a History Teacher and married to Michael, and Maddie, who lives in London and works in Digital Marketing.

Chris attended Virginia Commonwealth University before starting his career in 1999. In August of 2001, he joined Miller Financial Services. Chris is responsible for implementing investment strategies and conducting annual strategy meetings with clients. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation from The American College in February 2014, he earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation in May 2015 and he went on to earn his Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation in November 2018.
Chris and his wife, Anne Marie, have a son, Bailey, and two daughters, Kinsey and Reagan.
Colin attended the College of William Mary in Williamsburg, VA and graduated with a BA in Economics before starting his career in August 2010.
Colin advises clients on financial planning matters while also overseeing the team’s portfolio research, due diligence and advisory implementation. In August of 2014, Colin earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation from The American College. Colin is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA® Society of Virginia.
Colin and his wife, Megan, have three kids and reside on a farm. He is happiest when he is outdoors, including watching his kids participate in sports and partaking in one of his favorite family activities, alpine skiing. His newest hobby is training and hunting with their German Wirehaired Pointers, Leo and Rosie.
Sally graduated from Longwood College in 2002 with a BS degree in Business Administration. Before she joined Miller Financial Services in March 2008, Sally was a paralegal in a law office in eastern North Carolina. She currently holds her Life, Health and Annuities License.
Sally provides administrative support for the insurance side of the business, including paperwork and client service requests.
Sally and her husband, Ryan, have two daughters, McKenna and Landrey. They enjoy traveling (beach and mountains), college sports and spending time with family and friends.
Stephanie earned her BS degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University in 2007.
She started her career as a risk analyst in 2008 and has held various roles including Assistant Director of Network Office Supervision and Investment Operations Manager. She joined Miller Financial Services in 2011 as an Associate Wealth Management Advisor and then Director of Operations in the Virginia Beach Office, before eventually being named the Operations Team Lead, overseeing business strategy and operations for the team.
Stephanie resides in Alpharetta, GA with her husband, Aaron, daughter Lila, and son Camden. Outside of work you can often find Stephanie at her children’s sports games or dance performances, and loves to travel with her family, whether it’s hiking in the mountains, boating at the coast, or attending sporting events.
Sjoerd serves as the Director of Trading and Unified Managed Accounts at OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners, having joined the firm as an intern in March 2016. With a solid foundation in financial economics and mathematics from Caldwell University, and further honed by achieving the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in April 2023, Sjoerd has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill in investment research, portfolio analysis, and strategic financial planning. His rise through the ranks to his current position, which he assumed in January 2024, underscores his dedication to excellence and a keen analytical acumen that significantly contributes to our firm's strategic direction and operational efficiency.
In his current role, Sjoerd is instrumental in shaping the firm's trading strategies and unified managed account offerings, to help ensure that our investment strategies not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations. His leadership is characterized by a forward-thinking approach and a deep commitment to the financial industry.
Outside of work, Sjoerd cherishes the time spent with his family. He enjoys exploring the outdoors and creating lasting memories with his wife, Alondra, their daughter, Layla, and their two Labradors, Holland and Oakley.
Stephanie works closely with retirement plan sponsors consulting on fiduciary, investment, operational and regulatory issues relating to OnePoint BFG Wealth Partner’s retirement plan practice.
Prior to joining OnePoint BFG, Stephanie spent 14 years specializing in retirement in both sales and client services at Unified Trust Company, a national retirement plan record-keeper. Stephanie was also involved in establishing and executing strategic business initiatives for the firm.
Stephanie received a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky’s Carol Martin Gatton College of Business & Economics. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Morehead State University and received the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC) credential through ASPPA in 2013.
Stephanie and her husband reside in Central Kentucky and are the proud parents of three children. When she is not working or busy with her children’s activities, Stephanie enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.
Steve has been with OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners for over 20 years. He is the Chairman of our Investment Committee and a member of our Executive Committee. Steve also chairs the subcommittees for our UMA program, Alternative Investments, & Structured Products. He is a member of the subcommittees for OnePoint BFG’s Model Portfolios and for Group Retirement Plans. His primary responsibility is to serve as co-captain of our Think Tank, where investment portfolios are analyzed and proposals are written. Steve often joins our advisors on Zoom calls with clients to explain investment topics in detail.
Prior to joining OnePoint BFG in 2002, Steve worked for the mutual fund family Alliance Bernstein and the insurance company Northwestern Mutual. He graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. in Economics and a B.S. in Finance.
He married his high school sweetheart, Mary, in 2003. They now have three great kids. Steve loves to run, bike, & ski.
David is the Portfolio Manager of the OnePoint BFG Benestar Investment Strategy, which focuses on the vast healthcare, life sciences and wellness sectors. David is also a member of OnePoint BFG’s Investment Committee.
David’s investment management and sector focused experience is extensive and broad-based. Prior to joining OnePoint BFG, David spent nearly two decades managing healthcare sector investment portfolios at major hedge funds, including 14 years at Omega Advisors, where he served as Partner, Portfolio Manager and Healthcare Sector Head.
Previously, David was a healthcare lawyer at leading law firms and within industry, where he advised on complex regulatory, legislative and policy matters, and helped structure M&A, capital financing and other corporate transactions for diverse healthcare organizations. Additionally, David has managed private investments for a strategic venture fund.
David has a B.A. in Political Science from Clark University, a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and an M.P.H. from Yale University.
David lives in Weston, CT, is avid about fitness, a passionate and long-suffering Knicks fan, a history buff, and most enjoys spending time with his wife Amy and their two children, Julia and Sam.
Joseph has served as the Director of Financial Planning for the firm since 2000. He leads a team of analysts who are responsible for creating financial plans for clients including retirement and estate tax proposals, investment portfolio analysis, education projections, and life insurance proposals. Joseph conducts extensive research on investment and insurance vehicles, estate planning concepts and market trends, and manages clients’ investment accounts by performing quarterly reviews, proposals and tax management.
Prior to joining the firm, Joseph spent four years with The Prudential Insurance Company as a consultant assisting top-producing agents in case development, utilizing advanced marketing concepts such as deferred compensation, split-dollar and executive bonus plans, and analyzing needs and identifying opportunities to offer competitive, creative case planning for proposed clients. Joseph also worked for New York Life Insurance Company as a planner and mentor working with field force in developing financial plans for clients.
Joseph earned a BA in Accounting from Widener University and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Kyle graduated from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA with a BBA in Finance before joining Miller Financial Services in February 2023. Kyle has 14 years of investment industry experience and was most recently Vice President of Thematic Investment Research at Citi Private Bank. He has also held positions of Director of Equity Manager Research at Oppenheimer & Co, Associate at Fred Alger Management, and Financial Advisor at PNC Investments.
At Miller Financial Services, Kyle oversees portfolio management, investment due diligence, and assists with advisory implementation.
Kyle, his wife Laura, and their rescue pup Obi, recently relocated to Richmond from Jersey City, NJ. They reside in Carytown and are loving the community. In his free time, Kyle enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and camping, going to concerts, and spending time with family.
He credits his parents for teaching him and his four siblings the meaning of hard work, humility, and giving back.
In his role as Chief Investment Officer, Peter leads the team that is responsible for the development, management and oversight of OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners’s investment management program, managing the investment committee, and setting the firm’s overall investment philosophy, global investment outlook and asset allocation decisions. Peter also is the portfolio manager of the OnePoint BFG Global Macro Multi-Asset Strategy and the OnePoint BFG Target Income Portfolio Strategy.
Prior to joining OnePoint BFG, Boockvar was a managing director and the Chief Market Analyst for the Lindsey Group - “ a macro economic and market research firm founded by former Federal Reserve Governor Larry Lindsey. In this role, Boockvar was responsible for global economic & market research at the firm.
Before his time with the Lindsey Group, Peter worked as a macro analyst and portfolio manager for Omega advisors and had previously been a partner at Miller Tabak & Company where he was an equity strategist and portfolio manager.
Peter’s market insights are frequently sought out by industry leaders and for the last 5 years has been a regular guest host and contributor on CNBC programs. He is also regularly quoted in articles for Forbes, Barrons, Bloomberg, CNN Money and a number of other news outlets. Peter graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in Finance from The George Washington University.

Brian attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and graduated with a B.B.A in Finance in 2016, before starting his career as Investment Operations Associate. In April of 2018, he joined the Miller Financial Services team. In September of 2020, Brian earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation. In April of 2021 Brian obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation and in May of 2024 he obtained his Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification.
Brian and his wife Bess live in the near west end with their son and their chocolate lab, Tucker. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time at Lake Gaston, as well as tuning into English Premier League Soccer matches on Sundays.
Kristen graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Sociology before going on to receive a Master’s of Science in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Kristen has over a decade of experience in administration and operations in the public sector and the health and wellness industry. Joining Miller Financial Services in 2020, she now serves as our Senior Client Relationship Manager.
Kristen grew up just outside of Richmond and has lived in the city since 2011. In her free time she enjoys exploring the city’s vibrant culture, exercising, cooking, and spending time with her husband Craig, son Marshall, and their dog Pibber.
